*wheezing* Dragon Age: Inquisition’s out for preorder and I really want it, but I don’t know I’ll have a good enough computer to run it in time for its release. D: Especially if I’m going to have to pay for both the game and the new parts for a box my sister might give me. I’d need a newer, much better than what I usually get stuck with processor, which would take more than my current savings by a considerable amount, plus the game’s like $60-70 right off the bat, and goodness knows what else I might need to get things running smoothly. I don’t even know what can fit into the box my sister might let me have, it’s a compact one. Whatever happens, I know I need to get more commissions to pay for things. :P At least I have until October to get it together.
I just want to run stuff and not fear that my computer is going to melt in a literal sense, is that too much to ask?
how do people even use non-screen tablets like in their lap or against the edge of their desk or in front of their keyboard???
I don’t understand I swear I couldn’t even use the bamboo pen and touch I got a while back because the cord made it impossible for me to have it beside my laptop
I have to have my right hand aligned for drawing with left hand ready to ctrl+z at a moment’s notice but they both have to on the same plane how do you guys find it comfortable otherwise
My tablet is the same size as my laptop (EXACTLY, it’s weird), so it usually ends up sitting on top of my keyboard, due to the fact that I don’t have a desk to set stuff on. The buttons on the tablet help out so I don’t have to flip the tablet up to hit the keys so much. It’s better also because I’m left-handed and, like, half of the keys I need are on the left hand side. XD When I had a smaller tablet, it’d sit beside me to the left, while my laptop was on my lap, and I could use the keyboard with my right. I broke a lot of cords that way, but it was the only setup that worked.
Confession: I played an elf in Origins because I’m short in real life; I got to be a hero, even though I was a skinny short nobody.
I play as a dwarf a lot because they’re terribly short and stout. Like me! I really identify with them when the camera pans to the group and all you can see of the Warden is their head at the bottom of the screen. Like, yeah, that’s me down there. What a nice chest you have.
That moment when you spend like an hour scrolling through a follower’s blog without realizing it. :V I have some very wicked followers, I gotta say. I should probably follow more of you than I do…
One thing I wish for in games that I hardly ever find is people commenting on the player’s height, let alone giving you any choice but to be basically the same height as everyone around you. As a shorter than average person, I’d really enjoy it to see how people’d react to a super bamf Qunari conquering Hawke that’s nearly a foot shorter than her best friend. The closest I get is playing as dwarves, but most people are more likely to be like “hurr hurr where’s your beard” than “hurr hurr I’ll tell you when it starts raining” or whatever. :B
It’s a dumb want, but it’s a want nonetheless. I mean, how precious would it be for Anders to start picking on Hawke for being a munchkin and using her as an arm rest? My friends did this to me all the time when I was a teen (and one very lovely friend crouching so I could do the same to him). Or Varric making you extra tall in his stories to make you larger than life in a literal way? You miss out on that when you’re at eye-level with everyone. Someone write me short!Hawke fic, it’d be darned cute. Just short anyone fic. It’d be a cute gimmick.
This’s just me being silly, though. :V Who even wants a shorty for a hero. It’s just… height differences~
